Oval rings make the spin cycle a lot smoother and are easier on legs while climbing. Believe it (or not), but a round chainring doesn't transfer power to your rear wheel as smoothly as an Oval one.
32T oval ring has smallest diameter in dead spot (equivalent of 30T) and biggest in peak power zone (equivalent of 34T). That means you will go faster with an oval 32T chainring compared to a round one.
With oval rings you do not generate more power, you just go faster by distributing your leg power smarter. The thing which is confusing most people is you will actually feel that your stroke is more "round" with an Oval shape than with a round chainring.
32T oval ring will best suit someone who uses 28, 30 or 32T chainring currently. While pedaling, you will feel quite similar effort to the one riding round 30T ring (as the smallest diameter of the oval is that size), but you will gain the speed similar to riding 32/34T chainring.
It is ideal for people who climb a lot on 1x10/11 system and singlespeeds. Oval chainring does not compromise the work of the clutch mechanism in a rear derailleur. It also does not require chain tensioner when using in singlespeed application. Riding out of saddle on the uphill will become more pleasant then ever before.
Chainring has build-in 2mm spacers and threaded holes to create better chainline. Ovality of the chainring is only 11%. These chainrings also help you to recover after knee injuries as pedaling becomes smoother and less exhausting.
The most advanced narrow/wide tooth profile on the market guarantee minimum 12 months of excellent chain retention capabilities! We mean it. KMC chains recommended.
